 Take action to promote recycling across EuropeThe European Union’s main waste law is currently being reviewed, which forms the basis for waste policy in every EU country. Environmental groups across Europe are calling for more waste prevention, reuse, recycling and composting – without encouraging more incineration. We invite you to join our campaign.
Please join our campaign to love recycling and stop the waste - email your country’s Environment Minister at www.loverecycling.eu. This is important, as there is a real push to get a second reading agreement on the waste directive in the next two months, with the key debates being around Friends of the Earth's priorities – a 50% minimum recycling target for household waste by 2020; 70% minimum recycling rate for industrial, construction and demolition waste by 2020, and a stabilisation in total waste volumes.
