Hammerfest har isbj\u00f8rnen som byv\u00e5pen fra dengang byen var sentrum for ishavsfangst. Det st\u00e5r to isbj\u00f8rnfigurer foran r\u00e5dhuset og en stor ved Storsvingen ved innkj\u00f8ringa til byen.
