Russia strengthens climate targets

Today, Russia has announced it will increase their climate goals for 2020. The current goals are at 10-15 percent below 1990-levels, but at today’s EU summit Russia announced new targets of 25 percent below 1990-levels.

A new short documentary produced by Canadian film-maker Damien Gillis lifts the lid on the problems caused by open net cage salmon farms worldwide. “Farmed Salmon Exposed: The Global Reach of the Norwegian Salmon Farming Industry” reveals the pervasive nature of the issues plaguing salmon aquaculture and features testimonials by witnesses discussing the environmental and socio-economic damage caused by poorly managed salmon farms. Norges Naturvernforbund supports this film and agrees with the global petition.
